Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions we hear most often about buying, owning, and caring for your Rainbow Cleaning System.
General Questions
The Rainbow is sold exclusively through Authorized Rainbow Dealers via in-home demonstrations — it isn't available in stores or on online marketplaces. Request a free demo through our site and a local dealer will reach out to arrange a visit.
Pricing depends on the package you choose. Because the Rainbow is sold through personalized demonstrations rather than a fixed online storefront, your dealer will walk you through exact pricing during your visit.
Reach out through our contact page or request a demo, and we'll connect you with the dealer covering your area.
Start with the dealer who sold you your unit — they handle service, replacement parts, and supply orders directly. If you're not sure who that is, contact us and we'll help track down the right dealer.
Manuals are available through our support resources. Contact us if you can't find the one for your model and we'll get you the right copy.
The Rainbow Cleaning System and its accessories are covered for four years, with an extended ten-year warranty on the motor and electronic controller. Normal wear from everyday use isn't covered — see our full Warranty Information page for the details.
Your dealer handles financing and purchase options directly. If you no longer have their contact information, reach out to us with your unit's serial number and we can help point you in the right direction.
Use & Care
Fill the basin until the raised dome at the bottom is fully covered with water — that's the level the Rainbow needs to filter properly.
Check it after about two years of regular use, and plan to replace it by the five-year mark even if it still looks clean, since filtration performance declines over time.
Not with the Power Nozzle attached — that combination isn't designed for wet pickup. Remove the Power Nozzle first, and the unit can safely handle small liquid spills. Use the wet-pick-up tool to clean spilled liquid.
We only recommend Rainbow-brand liquids and fragrances, since they're the only ones tested for compatibility with the system. Other products may not perform the same way and could affect the unit.
It's safe on marble, stone, tile, vinyl, and linoleum. Avoid using it on unfinished wood or unsealed tile, since those surfaces can be damaged by moisture.
The most common causes are a clogged hose, a blocked Power Nozzle, or a HEPA filter that needs replacing. Check each of those first — clearing a blockage usually restores full suction.
